Home Office Spouse Visa Services

If you are a Britain citizen, or a resident in the Uk and you don’t have any restrictions regarding immigration, then you will be eligible to bring your partner or spouse to the United Kingdom. If you are from the outside of the European Economic Area or from Switzerland and you want to come in the UK for about 6 months or more, to a family member or to a partner, you will have to get a special visa named family of a settled person visa.

To apply for this type of visa, your family member or partner has to be a British citizen, has to have humanitarian protection or asylum in the UK or must have a settlement in the UK. If you live in the United Kingdom but you are not British and you can’t use your passport, and you want to travel outside of the Uk, you will need a so-called Home Office Travel Document. In order to get this document, you need to live in the UK and you are settled permanently here, you have humanitarian protection, or have permission to stay, being a refugee, or maybe a stateless person.
