Parcelforce was founded in 1990 after the rebranding of Royal Mail Parcel. The emergence of Parcelforce involved a major investment in infrastructure, IT, construction of sorting hubs and introduction of online tracking by Royal Mail Parcel. Over the years, Parcelforce has perfected operations in the parcel service and logistics industry and is currently in the leading position in the industry. Its operation is based on a “Hub and Spoke” system on delivery and collection through their 54 depots spread across the UK. Parcelforce also serves the European countries through their network partners General Logistics Systems (GLS) and E-Parcel Group (EPG). Express Mail Service (EMS) serves as their network partner for global postal services.
